SCIFI//Synapsis Contact Improvisation Festival Immersion
April 18-21, 2024
A long weekend of contact improvisation jams, classes, and immersive experiences.
Schedule:
Thursday: 7-8 Warm up & Contact Improvisation Mixer with Leslie; 8-10+ Jam
Friday: 2-4, Contact Improvisation Lab with Leslie, 4-6 Class, 6-7:30, Dinner and short dance films, 7:30-8 warm up class with Aren, 8-8:15 opening circle, 8:15-11:30 ecstatic dance with Ra So (Deejay from Nevada City), Shemaia and friends will be tending the closing Sound Bath.
Saturday: 11-1 Jam, 1-2:30 Break for lunch (bring your own); 2:30-4 Class, 4:30-6 Class, 6-7:30 Dinner and Conversation, 7:30 Live Music with Medicine Baul ***Vitali Kononov will be traveling from the Bay Area as a special guest teacher!
Sunday: 10:30-11 Yoga Nidra with Jeffrey, 11-1 Ecstatic Dance, 1-2 Lunch, 2-4 Class and Round Robin
Simple shared meals and snacks throughout. Please brig your own food for lunches. Dinners are included with the meal!
Cost: The first 20 tickets are only $40. After that, tickets are $55 until the week preceding when they go up to $75. These costs include the visiting deejay for ecstatic dance and food. **All extra money after paying instructors and musicians will go to the Synapsis Union Improvement Fund...You can also contribute to this fund or pay for a higher priced ticket if you can afford it.
